BarCamp Landing In Shanghai

Pacific Epoch is proud to be the media sponsor for BarCamp Shanghai, the first time the marathon "un-conference" will be held in China. The BarCamp website describes a BarCamp as "an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants." Sounds interesting. Check China Web2.0 Review for a better intro to the event from Luyi Chen, who is helping get things ready in Shanghai. The 24 hour event will be held on September 24 at video site Tudou's offices (click here for the Tudou PE interview), which should be a great venue for the open and flexible vibe of a BarCamp. The good news is that admission is free, though there are no passive attendees; everyone is encouraged to contribute in some way.
