Yahoo Wins Again In Qihoo Lawsuit
Beijing Second Intermediate People's Court ruled on August 10 that Chinese forum content aggregator and search provider Qihoo has to pay 30,000 Yuan in compensation, 40,279 Yuan in legal fees and make a public apology to Alibaba and China Yahoo (Nasdaq: YHOO), reports Sohu. Qihoo made the official apology on its anti-virus software 360Safe site on August 11. China Yahoo won the unfair competition lawsuit against Qihoo on December 20, 2006, and Qihoo later appealed to Beijing Second Intermediate People's Court. China Yahoo sued Qihoo in September 2006 for unfair competition after Qihoo named Yahoo Assistant malware.
