Baidu Gets Over Eachnet

Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) planned to purchase eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY) Chinese subsidiary Eachnet in mid-2006, but changed its plans after discovering eBay did not cover a large portion of the Chinese consumer-to-consumer (C2C) e-commerce market, reports Donews quoting an unnamed insider. An Eachnet employee has confirmed the rumor, according to the report.
