Baotou Aluminum (601400.SH) delisted its shares from the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Wednesday after its merger with Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco) (601600.SH; 2600.HK; NYSE:ACH), reports Economic Observer News. Chalco, the world's third largest aluminum producer, will exchange 1.48 Chalco shares for every Baotou Aluminum Shanghai-listed A-share. Chalco won the approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) to take over Baotou Aluminum in mid-December. Chalco shares rose 2.46 percent to close at 39.98 Yuan in Shanghai on Wednesday.
