The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) plans to launch the Chinese Growth Enterprises Market (GEM) in the first half of 2008 and stock index futures sometime during 2008, reports Xinhua quoting CSRC chairman Shang Fulin speaking at the National Conference on the Supervision of Securities and Futures held from January 16 to January 17.
Chinese contractor Zhong-Tie Construction Group Corporation Limited is planning its Shanghai and Hong Kong dual-listing for as soon as February 2008, reports China Business Network quoting a Zhong-Tie insider. The total amount raised should be between US$3 and US$4 billion, said the report. Previous reports said the company planned to go public in March 2008. Zhong-Tie recorded RMB150 billion in revenue in 2006.
