A-Shares Flat, Property Stocks Soar

Editorial Summary
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.93 percent to close at 4,761.7 on Friday, while the Shenzhen Composite Index increased 0.49 percent to close at 1,434.2. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges reached RMB129.4 billion and RMB70.4 billion, respectively.
Property developers and real estate companies soared in Shanghai on Friday. Shares of Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Holding (000069.SZ), Poly Real Estate Group Co., Ltd (600048.SH) and China Vanke Co., Ltd. (000002.SZ) rose 8.25 percent, 7.38 percent and 6.59 percent, respectively, on Friday.
