A-Shares Down, China Coal To Debut On Friday

Editorial Summary
The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.78 percent to close at 4,383.4 on Thursday, while the Shenzhen Composite Index plunged 2.71 percent to close at 1,311.3. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges was again down from normal at RMB76.2 billion and RMB37.4 billion, respectively.
China's second largest coal producer China Coal Energy Company Limited (601898.SH; 1898.HK) will debut on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Friday, according to a filing with the exchange. China Coal will issue 1.5 billion shares under the ticker "601898.SH", according to the filing. China International Capital Corp (CICC) and China Galaxy Securities are the joint lead underwriters.
Shares of China's largest coal mining company China Shenhua Energy (601088.SH; 1088.HK) fell four percent to close at RMB56.46 in Shanghai on Thursday.
