The Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.21 percent on Friday to close at 4,497.1, while the Shenzhen Composite Index decreased 0.73 percent to close at 1,371. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges was RMB67 billion and RMB31.8 billion, respectively.
Chinese contractor Zhong-Tie Construction Group Corporation Limited started stock price inquiries on Friday for its up to 2.8 billion A-share initial public offering, according to a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The company plans to begin trading in Shanghai in early March and to run a Hong Kong's H-share listing at a later date.
