Rumor: CCTV Leaves "Unhealthy" Tudou Relationship

Industry rumors are circulating regarding the reported partnership and subsequent breakup of Chinese online video site Tudou.com and China Central Television (CCTV), reports 163.com. According to the report, CCTV has decided to break with Tudou over the video site's "unhealthy" content. Tudou founder Gary Wang said Todou has agreed to provide video technology, rather than content, to CCTV, while Tudou's public relations department said it has not established any partnership with CCTV, according to the report. CCTV was previously reported to have partnered with Tudou for an Olympic-related video sub-channel.
