China Unicom (NYSE: CHU, 762.HK, 600050.SH) intends to spend at least RMB20 billion on GSM network updates in 2008, reports Beijing Times quoting China Unicom president Chang Xiaobing on March 6. Chang said 2008 is a good year for telecom restructure and 3G licenses.
