The Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.39 percent on Friday to close at 4,300.5, while the Shenzhen Composite Index decreased 1.32 percent to close at 1,369.8. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges was RMB92.2 billion and RMB45.6 billion, respectively.
Shares of Ping An Insurance (601318.SH, 2318.HK) fell 6.52 percent to close at RMB67.66 in Shanghai on Friday, after China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) chairman Shang Fulin said the commission would strictly examine Ping An's refinancing plan, reports Shanghai Securities Journal.
