China Netcom (NYSE: CN, 906.HK) is in the process of applying with the China Securities Regulatory Commission for an A-shares listing, reports Beijing Morning Post quoting China Netcom general manager Zhang Chunjiang. Regarding the application, Zhang said he was uncertain when the company would receive a response from Chinese regulators. China Mobile (NYSE: CHL, 941.HK) and Shanda (Nasdaq: SNDA) have also expressed their desire to return to the mother country for a public offering.
