Solar cell manufacturer JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: JASO) reported full year results for 2007 before market open on Wednesday. JA Solar recorded US$369.3 million in revenue, up 286.8 percent year-on-year, and US$54.6 in net income, compared to $11.8 million in 2006, for the one-year period. In the fourth quarter, company revenue reached $144.2 million, an increase of 23.7 percent from the third quarter, with net income of $13.5 million, up from $22.7 million in the previous quarter. The company shipped 50.2 MW in the quarter.
JA Solar intends to begin construction on a ten-line solar cell manufacturing plant in Yangzhou in the second half of 2008. The company expects full year 2008 revenue between $990 million and $1.1 billion with annual production output and capacity of 340 and 500 MW, respectively, this year.
