Chinese out-of-home flat screen advertiser Focus Media Holding Limited (Nasdaq: FMCN) announced full year 2007 earnings after market close on Tuesday. For the one year period, Focus Media had US$506.6 million in revenue, up 139.1 percent year-on-year, and US$144.4 million in net profit, up 73.6 percent year-on-year.
In the fourth quarter, total revenue was $184.6 million, up 21.9 percent quarter-on-quarter and 171.4 percent year-on-year, while net income was down six percent from the previous quarter to $43.8 million but up from $30.1 million in the year-ago period. Revenue from Focus Media's commercial location network grew 13.6 percent quarter-on-quarter to $73.4 million in the three month period. The company's in-store network generated revenue of $6.5 million, down 8.6 percent from the third quarter while the company's in-elevator poster frame network revenue grew 35.2 percent quarter-on-quarter to $31.2 million. The company's wireless advertising service revenues were $16 million, up 14 percent quarter-on-quarter. Revenues from online advertising were US$57.2 million in the fourth quarter, up 34.5 percent from the third quarter.
Focus Media expects first quarter 2008 revenue to come in between $160 million and $165 million, with net income between $44 million and $45 million.
