Shanghai-based TV direct sales company Acorn International (NYSE: ATV) reported full year 2007 results before market open on Wednesday. The company saw net revenue of US$262.1 million, up 33.4 percent year-on-year, and net income of US$18.7 million (with an investment gain of $11.6 million), up 379 percent year-on-year in the twelve month period. In the fourth quarter, Acorn's total revenues were down from $73.2 million in the third quarter to $57.6 million, while net income came in at $700,000 (including a $3.8 million investment gain), down from $4.5 million with the same investment gain last quarter. Total revenues from Acorn’s branded CPS stock tracking software were up 197.8 percent to $5.7 million.
In January, Acorn’s board approved a business expansion project to spend up to $35 million over the next three to five years. Acorn International expects full year 2008 revenue to be in the range of $280 million to $320 million.
