China Unicom (NYSE: CHU, 762.HK, 600050.SH) announced the release of its "10191 voice directory" to offer air ticket and hotel booking, payment and delivery service on March 12, reports Beijing Times. The service is currently operating on a free trial basis and is expected to begin commercial operation before the 2008 Olympics. The corporate-targeted service covers more than 4,500 domestic hotels and over 40,000 star-rated hotels in 120 countries and regions, according to China Unicom customer service department general manger Miao Wei.
China Unicom also intends to offer bilingual service and an international business solutions center during the Olympics, reports Oriental the Morning Post quoting China Unicom vice president Li Gang.
