Editorial Summary
The Shanghai Composite Index increased 1.57 percent to close at 3348.35 on Tuesday, while the Shenzhen Composite Index increased 1.94 percent to close at 1028.77. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges reached RMB 59.03 billion and RMB 29.62 billion, respectively.
The securities industry was up on Tuesday with shares of Citic Securities (600030.SH), Haitong Securities (600837.SH), and Sinolink Securities (600109.SH) rising 3.38 percent, 6.61 percent and 10.01 percent, respectively.
