Chinese online travel services provider eLong (Nasdaq: LONG) released a map channel (http://map.elong.com/) on an updated version of its website last Friday. eLong's map service requires a client-end download and offers classified information, travel route and bus exchange queries with drop-down and text input options. Users can click on certain locations appearing on the maps to access related booking information, according to a company employee. Ctrip's (Nasdaq: CTRP) map service does not integrate classified and booking information.
