Online movie and TV services became China's third most in demand online application behind online music and instant messaging in 2007, reports Wenhui Daily citing Shanghai Copyright Bureau data released on April 16. According to the data, the online video industry recorded over RMB 900 million in total revenue in 2007, with Shanghai accounting for more than 60 percent of the market. Shanghai is home to Tudou.com and SARFT online video license holders Joy.cn and ViewToo Broadband Technology (51tv.net). Youku.com established its Shanghai subsidiary in February.
