Giant Interactive (NYSE: GA) has landed three men in jail for pirate servers of Giant's in-house developed MMORPG ZT Online, reports China Business News. On Tuesday, the Shanghai Xuhui District People's Court ordered the defendants to pay a total of RMB 60,000 in compensation for the servers that are said to have cost Giant a minimum of RMB 59,000, said the report. Chen Jian was sentenced to one year in prison and a RMB 30,000 fine for building the servers while his operation accomplices, Shi Zunkai and Sun Jun, were sentenced to 10 months and RMB 20,000 and nine months and RMB 10,000, respectively. Giant said the case proves the company's commitment to the fight against pirate servers, according to the report.
