Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) and Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei plan to double joint venture employees to reach 3,000 employees by the end of the year, reports Sina. The company plans to recruit second-tier distributors to expand its distribution and high-end industry markets starting in May, said the report. The joint venture is headquartered in Chengdu and currently has four research institutes located in Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and India with 65 percent of company employees devoted to research and development, according to the report.
