China's Software Industry Records RMB 144B In Sales

Editorial Summary
China recorded RMB 144.36 billion in software industry sales revenue, up 29.9 percent year-on-year, in the first quarter of 2008, according to Ministry of Information Industry (MII) data. Aggregated software exports were valued at $2.4 billion, up 54.3 percent year-on-year, during the period.
The software technology services sector grew 46.4 percent year-on-year to reach RMB 25.9 billion during the period, while software product sales grew 26.2 percent to RMB 49.3 billion. East China accounted for 88 percent, RMB 127.02 billion, of software industry revenues.
