Alibaba's online payment tool AliPay has joined with the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA), the Red Cross Society of China's One Foundation and the Hangzhou Charity Federation to release a channel for online donations, reports ccidnet.com. China Telecom (NYSE: CHA, 728.HK) subsidiary Sichuan Telecom is expected to provide technology support to AliPay. The AliPay channel had registered RMB 43,000 worth of donations to the One Foundation as of Tuesday afternoon. Beijing-based online and mobile payment service provider YeePay released a donation channel for the Red Cross of Beijing (gongyi.yeepay.com) on Tuesday.
