Chinese vertically integrated photovoltaic product manufacturer Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) reported first quarter results with net revenues of $227.5 million, up 272.2 percent year-on-year and 9.8 percent quarter-on-quarter, before market on Thursday. Net income was $31.9 million, up 61.5 percent sequentially and more than 2,500 percent from RMB 8.3 million in the year-ago period. The company's PV module shipments increased 274.4 percent year-on-year and 7.3 percent quarter-on-quarter to 54.6 MW.
The company maintains previous guidance with net revenue between $969 million and $1.02 billion and PV module shipments between 255 and 265 MW for the fiscal year of 2008.
