Chinese online game company NetDragon (8288.HK) reported first quarter revenue of RMB 175.6 million, up 63.7 percent year-on-year, and profit of RMB 70 million, up 19.9 percent year-on-year, on Wednesday. During the quarter, NetDragon recorded 479,000 peak concurrent users (PCU) and 210,000 average concurrent users (ACU) for its 3D MMORPG Realm of Chaos. The game had PCU and ACU of approximately 438,000 and 213,000 users in the year-ago period.
NetDragon plans to release 2D MMORPGs Way of the Five (previously Happiness Q) and Heroes of Might and Magic Online in the second quarter and release 2D MMORPG Tian Yuan in the third quarter of 2008.
