Shenzhen-based electronic dictionary and mobile learning device maker Noah Education Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: NED) announced financial results for the quarter ending March 31, 2007, which is Noah's fiscal 2008 third quarter, after market close on Thursday. Noah recorded net revenues of $26.3 million, an increase of 8.5 percent year-on-year and 57 percent quarter-on-quarter. Net income was $7.9 million, up 113.8 percent year-on-year. Digital learning device sales were 174,742, up 6.3 percent year-on-year and 57 percent quarter-on-quarter. e-Dictionary sales volume was down 25.3 percent year-on-year and 69 percent quarter-on-quarter to 135,302. Noah said that it opened one new tutoring center in the quarter to bring its total to ten centers. Noah expects fiscal fourth quarter 2008 revenue to grow 16 percent to 18 percent year-on-year.
