Beijing-based online video site 6rooms.com (6.cn) is donating RMB 36 to the Red Cross Society of China in the name of every user that uploads original earthquake videos to 6.cn through May 30. The company will donate RMB 6 for users uploading other earthquake videos during the period.
Shanghai-based video site Joy.cn established a 24-hour hotline for adoption registration on May 15. The hotline was set up in response to the devastation of the Wenchuan earthquake. According to a qq.com report, nearly 200 people called the hotline in its first two hours of operation. Joy.cn also plans to release videos and information related to adoption procedures and orphans on its website.
