MII: Software Exports Hit $3.27B

China's software industry revenue reached RMB 226.63 billion in the first four months of 2008 for an increase of 31.9 percent year-on-year, according to Ministry of Information Industry (MII) data released on Monday. Aggregated software exports were valued at $3.27 billion, up 54.9 percent year-on-year. The software technology services sector grew 48.8 percent year-on-year to RMB 35.24 billion during the period, while software product sales grew 32.2 percent to RMB 97.34 billion. East China accounted for 90 percent, RMB 204 billion, of aggregate software industry revenues.
