Hon Hai's Foxconn International Holdings (2038.HK) will begin production in its Taiyuan, Shanxi and Langfang, Hebei factories in the third quarter of 2008, reports China Business News quoting a Foxconn department chief. The chief said Foxconn intends to shift its production focus to North China, and expects the Taiyuan and Langfang plants to have aggregate capacity 50% greater than that of Foxconn's Shenzhen headquarters. The company expects to increase total production capacity 20-30% in 2009 with production in its Hungarian plant scheduled to begin in August, small-scale Vietnamese production scheduled for year end and expansion planned for its Yantai, Shandong factory, said the department head.
