Chinese telecom equipment provider ZTE (000063.SZ, 0763.HK) is targeting the sale of 50 million handsets in 2008 and 100 million handsets in 2010, reports Ccidcom.com quoting ZTE handset business vice general manager Xiong Hui. ZTE hopes to sell 20% of its phones in the domestic market this year, as compared to 14% in 2007, according to the report. The telecom company is expected to invest over RMB 100 million promoting its handset brand this year.
