The Shanghai Composite Index inched up 0.76% to close at 2,878.256, while the Shenzhen Composite Index rose 1.29% to close at 871.30 on Monday. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges reached RMB 59.459 billion and RMB 32.484 billion, respectively.
Shares of textile companies Zhongying Cashmere (000982.SZ), Hainan Xinlong Nonwovens (000955. SZ), and Jiangsu Hongdou Industry (600400.SH) soared 10.09%, 10.01% and 9.96%, respectively, on Monday.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) recently disclosed new regulations wherein it is required to release preliminary listing documents online within five business days after the documents are returned to the CSRC with company revisions stipulated by the government regulator, reports National Business Daily. Released in the Chinese media this weekend, the new regulation went into effect on July 1.
