Beijing-based business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce site Dangdang.com plans to establish a logistics base in southwest China, reports Chongqing Business Today quoting Dangdang co-president Peggy Yu. With current bases in Beijing, Shanghai and Guanzhou, Dangdang has reduced delivery time by as much as three days. Dangdang announced on July 23 that Beijing consumers can expect one day delivery, while Guangzhou and Shenzhen users will see two and three days shaved off original delivery times, respectively.
Dangdang.com has entered a strategic partnership with Chongqing Publishing Group to share brand, channel, and sales resources, reports Chongqing Business Today. The e-commerce site will also feature a literary column written by Chongqing Publishing as part of the agreement, said the report.
