China Central TV's CCTV.com reported that it signed with McDonald's and advertising agent Bond International on Thursday to broadcast CCTV content in McDonald's restaurants. Trial broadcasting is set to begin in August, with additional content -- Olympics coverage, sports, news, weather, movies, and music ¨C scheduled for release in October. The partners have identified an initial target of providing TV service in Beijing McDonald's during the 2008 Olympic Games. CCTV plans to use mobile media subsidiary resources to create a standardized national programming system. McDonald's currently has about 1,000 restaurants in China.
