Online game prepaid card giants Junnet and Federal Soft lost out in the First Intermediate Court of Beijing this week after the court ruled that Junnet lacked an electronic products publishing operation license, so a sales contract it had with Federal Soft was void, reports Beijing Business Today. Junnet was ordered to return a three million Yuan deposit to Federal Soft, while Federal Soft was told to return 1.4 million Yuan worth of "Shadow Bane" customer disks, pre-paid cards and virtual cards to Beijing Junnet. In February 2003, Federal Soft, Junnet and Matrix Interactive Software Technology signed the contract in question. Federal Soft and Junnet were responsible for sales of "Shadow Bane" customer disks, pre-paid cards and other related products. According to the agreement, Matrix Interactive Software would operate the online game and Junnet had to pay six million Yuan for the privilege of being a distributor.
