DDB China To Merge With Guoan Advertising
Global advertising services giant Omnicom Group' subsidiary DDB China will merge with Chinese advertising company Beijing Guoan Advertising Company DDB Guoan Communications Beijing Company Limited, Omnicom announced on Friday. Omnicom will own the majority of shares in the merged advertising agency, which will start operation on July 3. DDB Guoan will be headquartered in Beijing and will have branches in Shanghai and Guangzhou. Guoan Advertising Company is a subsidiary of Chinese investment company Citic Guoan Group. Yan Gang, vice president of Citic Guoan, will be DDB Guoan's president and DDB China CEO Dick Van Motman will serve as CEO.
