Rumor: Chinese Digg Clone To Receive Funding

Softbank Asia Infrastructure Fund (SAIF) will invest no less than US$5 million in CnDig.com, a Chinese copy of popular news website Digg.com, according to a rumor reported by QQ.com. The report said that the investment will be made at the end of June and that CnDig's contact at SAIF is SAIF partner Daniel Yang. As with Digg, all news on CnDig is submitted by users, who also rate stories, which influences where they are placed on the website.
