Tencent's (0700.HK) casual game platform has become a platform for gambling virtual QQ game coins, according to accusations made by an unnamed expert on Enorth.com.cn. Most games can be played using virtual game coins, examples include Dou Di Zhu (a Chinese card game) and Show Hand - 10,000 QQ game coins represents one (real) Yuan. However some online gaming areas require at least 6,000 coins as stakes for one round. The report found that Tencent takes as much as 10 percent of the coins in the pot as a fee for some of the games. The QQ game platform currently hosts over 3 million concurrent users at peak times.
