The Internet Society of China (ISC) released a draft of its "Malware Definitions" on November 8, reports Shanghai Morning Post. ISC is soliciting public comments on the draft from November 8 to 20. The draft considers malware as software that is installed without the user's knowledge, is difficult to uninstall, generates pop-up ads, or collects users' personal information. The report said that once the final definitions are set, ISC will release an anti-malware self-discipline agreement and launch anti-malware complaint hotlines. ISC will also partner with ISC members to develop anti-malware software tools. ISC was set up in 2001 and has over 200 members, including Sina, Sohu, Baidu, and Tencent.
