China UnionPay And Citibank Announce Interoperability

Editorial Summary

Chinese bank card network operator China UnionPay and Citibank jointly announced on March 21 that their ATM networks are now interoperable, reports Beijing Times. According to the cooperation, all China UnionPay cards can be used at Citibank ATM machines across 36 countries, and Citibank's international bank cards will be accepted by China UnionPay's foreign card ATMs. China UnionPay currently has 8,300 ATMs that accept foreign cards.
