Google China Launches Life Search Channels

Google China launched a classified information search channel at Google.cn/shenghuo on May 20, reports eNet. The new channel offers search information on real estate, jobs, train tickets and restaurants. Chinese classified information search engine Kooxoo.com soon claimed that Google's classified information channel was a copy of Kooxoo's site. Google China said on May 21 that Google's new channel was developed from Google's user-generated information platform Google Base, which was launched in November 2005. Much of the classified content (real estate, jobs, etc) comes from Google partners.
