Tudou HD Brings In The Big Bucks

Shanghai-based online video site Tudou.com has partnered with over 100 content providers and nearly 100 advertisers for its high-definition channel hd.tudou.com, reports China Securities Journal quoting Tudou CEO Gary Wang. Wang said the channel has given Tudou.com its first taste of large-scale revenue by bringing in "relatively large" ad placement deals. Tudou released the new channel on September 17 with over 10,000 licensed programs.
