Baidu Launches Search For The Blind

Posted on Apr 25, 2007 | 19:04

Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) officially released its search service for the blind at dao.baidu.com on April 25. The only difference the new service has with Baidu's standard search service is that the homepages for the different channels have been simplified. This is meant to make it easier for software that reads web pages out loud to read the pages. The site contains seven channels: news search, web search, mp3, Baidu Post Bar, Baidu Knows, Baidupedia and the web directory Hao123.
