Google And Tencent Officially Announce Search Cooperation
Tencent (0700.HK) and Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) China officially announced on May 16 that Google China has been providing search technology for Tencent's search channel Soso.com, reports Donews. Starting on May 16, all Soso.com search results were marked with a "Powered by Google" tag, including websites, music and image searches. The two parties have been cooperating on search and advertising services since December 2005. Reports from around the time of Soso's launch in December 2005 indicated Google was providing technology for Tencent's search service.
