China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 941.HK) may delay its TD-SCDMA outdoor trials because it has not yet determined the test sites, China Business News reports quoting an unnamed inside source. The report said that China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 728.HK) has selected Hebei province's Baoding for its trials and China Netcom (NYSE: CN, 906.HK) may choose Shandong's Qingdao. All TD-SCDMA trials should be completed by August. TD-SCDMA tests were originally scheduled to be completed by June 2006. TD-SCDMA Association secretary Yang Ye told China Business News that the first round of tests was done by the government and that about 11 handset companies will participate in terminal tests.
