Update: Kingsoft Raises Capital From Japanese Investor

Chinese software and online game company Kingsoft's Japan subsidiary recently received financing from an unnamed Japanese venture capitalist, according to a rumor reported in Beijing Business Today. Kingsoft president Lei Jun confirmed that an investment has been made when Beijing Business contacted him but he refused to name the investor. Kingsoft sells office software and anti-virus software in Japan.

Update:
An unnamed insider Kingsoft says that the investor is JAFCO, reports PConline. Although the person refused to reveal the investment amount, he said Kingsoft Japan subsidiary's post money valuation US$22 million.
