JLM uses a proprietary method to track advertiser growth for Focus Media's (FMCN) outdoor LCD business. We monitor LCD screens for A and B channels and hypermarkets, for tier 1, 2, and 3 cities. According to our research, January was a seasonally slow month due to the Chinese New Year. The huge snowstorm across much of Southern and Western China also had a detrimental impact on the business as some advertisers delayed launching their LCD campaigns.
