Yunnan H1 Tourism Receipts Up 13.2% YoY

Southeastern China's Yunnan Province generated RMB 41.5 billion in revenues from tourism in the first half of 2010, up 13.2% year-on-year, hexun.com reported September 1. The province recorded RMB 37.89 billion in revenues from domestic tourists, up 13.6% year-on-year, while international travel receipts expanded 12.2% year-on-year to $537 million, the report said... |

Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels' (2006.HK) subsidiary Jin Jiang International Hotels Development (600754.SH) expects revenues to increase 27.68% to RMB 1.11 billion in the first half of 2010, while it expects net income to grow 16.15% to RMB 231 million in the period, the company announced August 17.
Jin Jiang International Hotels Development saw net income in 2009 rise 2.85% year-on-year to RMB 280.99 million from revenues of RMB 782.36 million, down 1.42% year-on-year. |

Tourism in China generated an estimated RMB 750 billion in revenues in the first half of 2010, up 19% annually, the National Tourism Administration announced July 15. The number of tourists traveling within China in the first half of the year rose 8.6% annually to an estimated 1.1 billion, the number of people entering the country during the period was up 5.5% year-on-year to 65.5 million and the number of travelers leaving the country in the six months increased 19% annually to 12.4 million, according to the reported estimates... |
